The image depicts a group of figures discussing an event by a riverside amidst a wooded landscape. The drawing features an assembly of figures in the foreground, some of whom are clad in robes and armor, pointing towards a scene unfolding in the middle ground by a body of water. A serpent can be seen coiled at their feet. In the background, there is a tree with clusters of leaves that provide shade over the figures. In the distance, on the other side of the water, there is a castle-like structure with turrets and archways.
