The scene features a landscape viewed from a slightly elevated perspective. A distant horizon is seen with a simple structure, possibly a building. A horse-drawn cart is depicted on a sloping path nearby. The sketching style is loose with swirling pencil strokes indicating motion. The image is monochromatic, using the paper's tone and dark pencil lines to convey the scene.
