Associated Names
Camille Pissarro

Artist, French, born St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, 1830 - 1903

This drawing is from a lower perspective, looking up a hill on the left towards a group of buildings, with a path or road winding into the distance on the right. The houses on the hill face the right, and we see them from the side. They have pointed roofs with some low chimneys, and low trees or bushes are between them. Closer to us, at the base of the hill, there is a low stone wall and grassy vegetation beside the path, while more buildings are visible in the distance under a clear sky. The drawing is done in dark gray lines on a light gray background.
