The point of view is level with the riverbank, showing trees and a boat nearby. The horizon is high and obscured by dense foliage. The etching technique portrays fine, detailed lines for texture and form. Trees are depicted with intricate, layered strokes, while water and rocks have a more defined, linear style. The color palette is monochromatic, contrasting black ink with pale paper to define the scene. In the distance, beyond the trees, a round stone tower rises on the right side, partly hidden by rocks.
