The image shows a landscape from a slightly elevated perspective. The horizon is positioned in the upper third of the composition, with the outlines of distant trees and subtle cloud formations against the sky. In the center, a figure on horseback is seen on a rustic bridge made of logs, connecting rocky ground. Closest to us, robust rocks and dense foliage surround a small stream. The engraving technique provides texture to the rocks, trees, and clouds. The color palette includes varying shades of gray and the natural color of the paper.
