The image shows an old man seated outdoors. He is seen from the waist up, facing forward with a slight turn to the side. His right arm is extended and resting on a book. The man has a bald head with curly hair on the sides and a long beard. His expression is thoughtful, and he appears to be looking upward. He is covered in a cloth, and the setting is rustic with bushes and trees around him. Next to him are wooden crosses and a skull on the ground. The earth below has detailed etching lines. A halo is depicted behind his head.
