The image depicts two elderly men from the waist up sitting closely together at a table. Both men are leaning toward each other, with their faces close as they examine a document or piece of paper one of them is holding. The man on the left wears a brimless hat and a long-sleeved jacket, partially visible due to the position of his hand holding the paper. The man on the right sports a pointed hat with a brim and a collared long-sleeved overgarment. Their facial features are detailed with lines typical of an older age. The table they sit at holds a few items, including a glass, a bowl with a spoon inside, and some smaller objects. In the background, the wall has a rustic texture with what seems to be a calendar or paper notice posted on it. An overhead beam with rolled-up material or scrolls stored near the ceiling is visible.
