The image shows a stone archway in an underground corridor or crypt. The perspective is slightly above and to the side, revealing a view down a line of columns and arches that extend into the distance. There is no visible horizon as the scene is indoors. A person is seated on the left, near us, possibly resting against a textured stone wall. Another figure is standing further down the path, draped in a cloak. The arches are detailed with brushstrokes to convey age and texture. The scene is monochrome, using shades of brown for depth and shadow. Light and shadow highlight the architectural details and set a mysterious tone.
