The image shows two figures, both partially visible from head to toe. The standing figure on the left is holding a lute with both hands. They have a youthful face with curly hair, partially covered by an ornate hat adorned with feathers and ribbons. The figure is dressed in elaborate attire with puffed sleeves and frilled neckwear. The seated figure on the right also holds a lute, appearing engaged in playing it. They have a similar youthful appearance with a finely detailed face and hair styled with intricate curls, complemented by a ruffled collar. They wear a full, draped garment with multiple layers. The room is richly decorated with paneling on the walls, a carved balustrade above, and large windows that let in light. The flooring has a checker pattern, and the walls are adorned with artwork or engravings.
