The image is a black and white illustration of a group of people seated together, filling the frame from the waist up to their heads. The central figure is a man wearing a light-colored cap, with discernible facial features including wide eyes and a large smile. His attire consists of a long-sleeve shirt. On either side of him, there are men and women who are dressed in formal 19th-century clothing, including top hats and shawls, with some women wearing bonnets. The group is seated in what appears to be a carriage or salon, indicated by the narrow windows in the background. Outside the windows, a faint outline of a cityscape can be seen, consisting of buildings and faint human figures in the distance. The scene is framed by a border with the title "ACTUALITÉS" at the top and dialogue at the bottom.
