The image is a bird's eye view landscape sketch. The horizon is high on the page, lined with distant hills. Below the horizon is a plain with rows of trees and fields. The sketch uses soft pencil strokes to create depth and detail in the trees and vegetation. The color palette is monochrome in shades of graphite on warm paper. Terrain closest to the viewer suggests hills and valleys leading towards the horizon.
