Two adults and an infant are depicted from head to waist. The adult male on the left is shown in profile, standing with arms at his sides, wearing an open collared shirt and suspenders. His facial features include a prominent nose and a serious expression, and he has short, combed-back hair. The adult female is slightly leaning over while holding a candle holder with a lit candle near the infant. She has delicate facial features and wears a headscarf. The infant lies in a woven basket, wearing a simple outfit and cap. The background is shaded, with the candlelight illuminating the scene.
