The image shows two figures: a child and an adult. The child is standing with their entire body visible from head to toe, dressed in a simple, loose-fitting long garment. The child has short hair and stands with hands clasped behind the back, facing the adult. The adult is shown kneeling on the floor with their weight supported by one knee and leaning closely toward a bowl of water on the floor, where a small paper boat is floating. The adult has disheveled hair and a slightly exaggerated facial expression. The adult is wearing what appears to be a long coat. Around them, there is a jug placed on the floor beside the bowl, and in the background, there is a tall cupboard or piece of furniture with a jug, another object, and a platter or plate on top. The scene is shaded to indicate an indoor setting with a textured background and a partially visible door or partition.
