The image shows three people from head to toe: an elderly woman sitting in an armchair, holding a small dog on her lap, a woman standing next to her in profile view, wearing a shawl or cloak, and a young child standing next to the woman, holding onto her clothing. The elderly woman has curly hair and a stern expression, while the standing woman has tightly pulled back hair. The child is dressed in a striped outfit with short pants and looks down. Adjacent to the seated woman, there is a fireplace with a parrot on a perch above it, and a birdcage hanging on the wall behind her. On the floor, a small dog is looking up at the seated woman, while another dog is resting near the fireplace. The background features a plain wall with simple decorations, suggesting an indoor room setting.
