The image is a pencil sketch of a coastal scene. The horizon is slightly below the middle of the image, where the sea meets the land. Several sailing ships float in the distance. The shoreline slopes gently, leading to a hill with a windmill on top. There is a sparse line of trees further back on the hills. The brushstrokes are soft and detailed, capturing fine lines and shades. The colors are monochromatic, mostly gray. The sky is clear, emphasizing the simplicity of the landscape.
