This is a drawing of a figure labeled "France" being led towards a voting box. The image shows a personification of France in a long robe being prodded towards an electoral ballot box labeled "Urne Électorale" by a soldier with a pointed helmet and a weapon. The drawing is monochromatic, using line work and shading to convey the imagery. The text at the bottom reads, "Ce que certains journaux appelleraient une élection libre," translating to "What some newspapers would call a free election." This is in the style of Honoré Daumier.
