This lithograph has soft, sage green, visible brush strokes. There are 4 curved lines that help make up the shape of an “S”. On both sides of the composition, areas of blues and light sage green tones frame the central shape. The left side contains darker, more solid shade of blue with apparent brush strokes. Toward the middle of the composition, blue colors fade into a light greenish-grey color. The right side includes lighter blues mixed with greens, forming an uneven texture. This uneven texture includes many squiggled, organic shapes. The solid blues from the left side of the canvas carry over to the top right of the canvas. There is a clear contrast between the two sides through differences in value and texture. The background is white, which increases the contrast and makes the green and blue shapes stand out. Throughout the background, there are pale green and gray organic shapes. These shapes are less defined and overall add depth to the composition. Along the bottom, the words Water Patter are on the left and the words Arthur L. Flory are on the right.
