The image displays the upper body of a person seated in a three-quarter view. They are positioned to the left and looking off to the side. The person has defined facial features with a prominent chin and cheekbones. Their hair is mostly covered by an elaborate hat with a large, crescent-shaped adornment. The headpiece is secured with chin straps and drapes down the side of the face. The person is dressed in an ornate garment with a high collar and detailed patterns on the chest area. They are holding a stringed musical instrument, presumably a lute or similar, with one hand at the neck and the other plucking the strings. The hand strumming the strings is adorned with a ring. The background is minimalistic with some textures and patterns for decoration.
