The image shows a group of spiky, spherical flowers with long stems arranged in a clear, curved vase. The color palette is monochrome, consisting of various shades of gray and black. The vase is centered at the bottom, and the tallest flower extends upward in the middle, surrounded by smaller spiky blooms and leaf clusters that spread outward, balanced by additional flowers at different heights around the vase.

The image presents a coastal scene viewed from an elevated vantage point. Rustic wooden buildings and fences are close to us, descending toward a narrow beach. The horizon is high in the image, with boats moored and a distant townscape with smokestacks in the distance. The etching features fine, detailed brushstrokes and lines for texture and depth. The color palette is monochromatic, using sepia and black tones.
