The image shows a landscape viewed from slightly above. The horizon is placed high in the composition, where the land meets distant hills and the sky. A silhouette of a figure is visible on the horizon. Loose and expressive brushstrokes create an impressionistic effect, with areas of shading and sketch-like lines for trees and foliage. The color palette is monochromatic, with varying shades of black and gray against a light background. In the foreground, a person is reclining on the ground, and large trees with textured crowns are to the left, with their branches stretching across the sky. The landscape gradually flattens towards the horizon.
