The image shows a landscape with an elevated point of view. Near us on the left, there are remnants of an ancient structure with tall, fluted columns. The horizon is low, emphasizing the sky and distant landscape. The horizon fades into hills or mountains in the distance. The brushwork is delicate with detailed lines and soft shading. The color palette consists of muted cream and soft grays on tan paper. To the right, there are trees and a distant city on a hill, adding depth to the composition.
