The image shows a man lying on his back on the floor. He appears unconscious or lifeless, with closed eyes and a slack jaw. He has short, dark hair and is wearing a light-colored nightshirt. His left hand is exposed, palm up. The background shows a dimly lit interior space with a bed frame and mattress visible behind him. Another indistinct figure lies in the shaded area at the back.
