The image shows four people in a horse-drawn carriage. All four individuals are visible from head to foot as they sit in the vehicle. The person on the far left is an older man with a beard, wearing a hat and a formal suit, gesturing with his hand. Next to him is a younger man with short hair, wearing a boater hat and a striped suit. Behind them is another older man seated with a slightly hunched posture, holding a document or paper. On the right side sits an older woman dressed in a large, patterned garment with a bonnet, holding a small folding fan. The carriage is covered with a fringed canopy. In the background, two horses are partially visible. The setting includes a picket fence, trees, a house in the distance, and two women standing near the fence on the left side of the image.
