The image shows two men in a wooded setting, both engaged in an encounter or confrontation. The point of view is level with the two men. A large tree dominates the center, obscuring part of each man. The horizon is not clearly visible due to dense foliage. The style of the artwork is detailed with fine brushstrokes, characterized by cross-hatching and shading. The color palette is monochromatic, with shades of black, white, and gray. One man stands holding a stick, crouched as if ready to spring. Across from him, the other man leans forward with a weapon in hand. Beyond them, more trees fade into the dark tones of the woods.
