The image shows two men depicted in full-body view. The taller man stands upright with a demeanor of confidence, while the smaller man is clutching his robe and appears to be leaning back slightly. The taller man has plump facial features and a slight smile, dark hair styled beneath a cap. He is wearing a long black robe with wide sleeves and a white cravat at the neck. The shorter man is wearing a cap and a matching black outfit that consists of a coat and trousers. The backdrop has a textured wall and what appears to be a door to the left side. The image is in a monochromatic style with shading for depth. The border features handwritten text and the artist's initials "L.D." at the bottom.
