The scene depicts a figure being placed into a stone coffin by a group of people. The figure's arms hang loosely, face angled to one side, eyes closed, with a beard, long hair, and draped in cloth. The individuals surrounding him wear flowing garments. Some figures have expressive facial features, one appears to kiss the figure's hand. The clothing is detailed with folds and wrinkles. A crown of thorns is placed beside the body. In the background, there is a barren tree with twisting branches over a rocky formation.
