The image depicts an elevated view of a landscape with towering trees on either side. A distant rock formation is visible through the canopy. The brushstrokes are expressive, giving texture to the foliage and trees. The color palette is monochromatic with shades of black and gray on sepia-toned paper. Large trees frame the foreground, with thick trunks and detailed bark texture. Smaller trees create depth leading towards the hazy rock formation in the distance.
