The image shows two men from the knees up. The first man on the left is standing with a slight lean, facing towards the right, and holding a dark coat or cloak. He has short, dark hair and angular facial features. He wears a light-colored shirt and striped trousers. The second man, on the right, stands facing the first man with his body slightly turned towards the viewer. He has a fuller face with glasses perched on his nose, and his hair is tousled. He wears a light-colored shirt with a scarf around his neck and similarly striped trousers. The background is a shaded, monochromatic tone.
