Artist, Dutch, 1898 - 1972

The image shows a landscape with a tree, a structure, and rolling hills. The perspective is from a raised position looking down. The tree has detailed cross-hatching for bark and branches. The leaves are delicately sketched. Beyond the hills, there is a horizon line. Buildings with arches and rectangles are below the tree. The hills are depicted with curved lines suggesting a terraced landscape leading to water. The color palette is monochromatic with shades of gray from pencil.
