Artist, Scottish, 1785 - 1841

The image shows a light sketch of two figures from head to mid-thighs standing together, facing forward, with one arm each raised upward as if holding or draping a light piece of fabric. The sketch depicts their faces with minimal detail, soft facial features, loose hair, and understated clothing. The background is mostly empty with faint sketch lines, and there are vague outlines of small animal-like shapes resembling dogs on either side of the figures.
