Artist, German, 1471 - 1528

The image shows a person standing on a rectangular stone slab, with one foot on the ground and the other slightly elevated on the slab. The person has long hair and a beard, strong facial features with prominent cheekbones, deep-set eyes, and a solemn expression. They are unclothed except for a draped cloth around their lower body, holding a staff with a cross in their right hand. Beams of light radiate from their head, creating a halo effect. Surrounding them are several armored soldiers in various positions. The background includes hills, a building, and two tiny figures walking along a path. An engraved design at the bottom right corner indicates the year 1512.
