Artist, German, 1471 - 1528

The image shows a man kneeling with his body turned slightly to the left. He has long, wavy hair and a beard. His hands are clasped together in front of him. The man is dressed in loose robes. Around him, the land is rocky with scattered vegetation. Behind him to the left, there are two other figures with trees and a path leading into the landscape. In the sky above him, there is a head with flowing hair surrounded by clouds and emanating rays of light toward the man. The background includes a large tree, clouds, and atmospheric details, creating a dramatic setting.
