Artist, German, 1471 - 1528

The image depicts a woman holding a child. The woman has a gentle tilt to her head and appears to be looking at the child. She has detailed facial features, long flowing hair, and wears a crown. Her clothing is adorned with draped fabric. The child is naked and appears to be looking outward, resting in the woman's left arm. The woman holds a staff in her right hand. Radiating lines create a halo effect in the background. The number "1516" is inscribed to the right, and an artist's monogram is at the bottom right.
