The image depicts a seascape with two figures working with ropes on a rocky shoreline. In the background, a large sailing ship is caught in tumultuous waves with torn sails, approaching a rocky shore. On the left side, more ships are seen battling rough seas. The horizon is obscured by waves, and the sky is filled with crosshatched lines. A stone tower stands prominently on the right against the sky. The artwork is rendered in shades of black and white.
