The church anchors the image centrally. The steeple rises towards the top center, crowned with a weather vane. The sketch captures outlines and textures with soft, wavering lines. The color palette is monochromatic, with shades of gray and black against a light background. A small, indistinct figure is close to us, implying motion. Trees around the building are depicted with swirling lines, adding to the dynamic feel of the piece.
