Artist, American, born Russia (now Latvia), 1903 - 1970

The image shows abstract line drawings on a blank canvas, organized in three sections. On the left, a tall figure with simple lines is reminiscent of a standing person. In the top right rectangle, lines and shapes form a scene suggesting a person in a bed. In the bottom right rectangle, disjointed lines and shapes create a brick wall with forms resembling parts of a figure. The sketches hint at a familiar person, bed, and wall in an interpretative style.
