In the image, two figures are shown. One person is depicted in profile from head to thighs, seated on a low, round stool, leaning forward with their back bent and head resting on their folded arms. This figure has indistinct facial features and long hair falling over the arms, with the rest of their body appearing nude. The second figure is fully clothed, seated on a chair to the right, leaning forward with forearms resting on their knees. This person has long hair and indistinct facial features. The background includes a table on the left with a jug on top and a window with curtains drawn on the right. The sketch has a warm sepia tone and is rendered with shading suggesting light entering from an unseen source.
