Artist, French, 1852 - 1931

The image depicts two figures facing each other. The figure on the left is mostly shown, from head to slightly above ankle, and appears to be standing. This person has long hair and a neutral expression on their face. They seem to be draped with a long, flowing fabric that covers most of their body. The figure on the right is seen from behind in full length and is also standing. This person is wearing a long coat adorned with fur trim around the collar and a wide-brimmed hat featuring feathers, which obscures their face. They appear to be holding an object in front of them. In the background, there is a simple interior setting with minimal detailing, showing faint outlines of a table and some indistinct objects. The style is monochromatic, done in a loose sketch form.
