The image shows a charcoal or pencil sketch of an elderly man from the waist up. He is seated, turned at an angle with his head slightly inclined to the left. The man has a long beard, deep-set eyes, prominent cheekbones, and an angular nose. He wears a hat with a small brim, and simple dark attire. The background is plain with no distinct features, keeping the focus on the subject.
