Artist, French, 1852 - 1931

The image depicts the upper bodies of two individuals leaning over the side of a crib-like structure. They are positioned closely together, both gripping the railing with both hands while peering down. The child on the left has hair that is disheveled, while the child on the right has their hair pulled back. The clothing of both individuals seems loose and relaxed, suggested by the flowing lines drawn around them. The foreground contains sketchy lines, possibly depicting a blanket or the drape of the crib. The background is minimal, with just a few faint lines, keeping focus on the two figures.
