Artist, French, 1852 - 1931

The image shows three men in full body view. The man in the foreground is standing with his head slightly bowed, wearing a tall top hat and a long coat that conceals most of his body. His facial features are not clearly defined due to the sketch style, but he appears to have a beard. The other two men, positioned to the left, are similarly dressed in long coats, and their heads are also covered, possibly by hats. Their facial details are obscured in the sketch. The men appear to be standing around multiple coffins. In the background, there are minimal details with structural lines and a faintly sketched figure observing from a distance. The overall background is plain with sparse lines indicating the floor and no additional ornamentation.
