The sketch depicts two individuals from the waist up. The person on the right is a bearded man wearing a helmet, holding a rifle over his shoulder, and has a pipe in his mouth. His attire consists of a military-style jacket. He has a serious expression, and his hair is hidden under the helmet. To the left is another individual looking upwards with an indistinct facial expression, wearing a cap. The clothing of this figure is less detailed than the man on the right. In the background is a signpost with the word "NOYON" written on it. The background is plain with no other notable features.
