The image features two figures. In the forefront, a woman is standing, hugging a young boy. The woman has her head slightly bowed and wears a headscarf or hood. The boy wears shorts and shoes. Behind them, there is a subtle sketch of another person crouched beside a large bundle. The background consists of an open landscape with swirling lines that suggest smoke or clouds extending into the sky.
