Two Fountains

Italian 17th Century

Associated Names
This is a drawing of two ornate fountains. The drawing depicts two intricately designed fountains. The fountain on the left features a central column with sculpted birds that act as spouts, allowing water to flow from their beaks. It is composed of multiple tiers with elaborate leafy decorations that resemble cascading water. On the right, the fountain boasts an ornamental urn at the top, surrounded by scrollwork and floral motifs. Both fountains sit on pedestals and are drawn with fine lines and shading that give them a three-dimensional appearance.
