Artist, German, 1880 - 1938

The image depicts two figures from the shoulders up, both facing slightly towards the right edge, with one in the foreground and the other partially obscured in the background. The figure in the foreground has distinct facial features prominently outlined, with wide eyes and a large smile, and straight hair cascading down. The figure behind also has outlined facial features with closed eyes and straight hair. They appear to be wearing loose-fitting garments with flowing lines, with no visible jewelry or objects being held. The background is stylized with abstract shapes and curved lines that fill the space. The entire composition is rendered in a monochromatic color scheme of black on a yellow surface.
