His hair is wavy, falling alongside his ears, reaching the collar of his clothing. He wears a high-collared garment with a wide, flat collar that contrasts against the darker fabric of his outer robe, which is draped and has a distinct texture. The portrait is framed by fine lines and surrounded by an inscription at the bottom that reads "NICOLAVS CLAVDIVS FABRICIVS DE PEIRESC SENATOR AQVENSIS." The background of the image is neutral with horizontal lines.
