He is dressed in a dark garment with a frequent button closure and a white collar extending outward. There is a piece of fabric around his neck. The background features fine lines radiating in an oval shape around the portrait. Below the portrait is an illustrated shield with heraldic symbols and foliage motifs against a lightly textured background.
