The image shows two people positioned closely together. The woman on the left is seated and facing slightly toward the viewer, while her upper body is turned slightly toward the man beside her who leans in from the right. Her facial features include full cheeks and a small, pointed chin, and her hair is styled in an elaborate updo with braids. She wears a dress with a detailed lace collar and ruffled sleeves, along with a pearl necklace and earrings. She holds a mirror in her left hand. The man wears a large hat, a mustache, and a beard; his expression seems animated, and he holds a hand out toward the woman. His clothing features a ruffled collar and pleated fabric. The background consists of engravings of foliage and a setting sun.
