The sketch depicts three individuals. The first person is sitting upright with their legs stretched out, the second person is reclining next to a smaller figure lying on the ground. The facial features of all three individuals are softly defined with subtle expressions. The first person appears to have short hair, possibly wearing a hat. The adult lying down has their hair pulled back, and the child's hair frames their face. They are wearing simple, modest clothing. The child is in a short-sleeved dress. No jewelry is visible, and there are no objects being held. An indistinct oval shape is near them. The background features abstract, flowing lines suggesting gentle contours of landscapes or clouds. The image is done in a light, sketchy style with broad, sweeping strokes.
