The image is an etching of an older person depicted from the waist up, seated in profile and slightly turned to the left. The person has a prominent nose, deep-set eyes, and a lined face. They have sparse, combed-back hair and wear a coat with lapels. In the background, a sketch of another head and torso, possibly a second person, is on the left side. The background features a textured wall with a dark shaded rectangle. The strokes in the etching are rough, providing a dynamic texture. A signature is visible at the bottom right corner of the image.
